Greetings from my happy studio in the

About

My art is for dreamers — for those who savor symbols and seek the deeper story hidden within color and form. It’s for the kind of person who notices a single ray of sunlight, feels its warmth in their heart, and wants to take that feeling home to hang beside their favorite chair. My paintings are for wanderers of the spirit — those who long for the wide, winding path beneath tall trees, alive with vivid skies, unexpected wildness, and encounters with magical creatures, which may include your own soul!

Methods
My most treasured way to paint begins with layers of writing, color, marks, and shape — a dance between intention and intuition. I let the subconscious lead until a central figure or theme quietly rises to the surface. From there, I step aside and allow the painting to reveal what it wants: the hues it asks for, the light or shadow it needs to breathe. Through this intuitive process, each piece becomes a world of its own — a dream made visible, more honest and free than anything I could plan.

My series-based paintings are explorations of recurring ideas and stories. Though I’m constantly inspired by a million possibilities, I choose to work within evolving themes that deepen over time.

A Random Fact
I experience mild synesthesia — a cross-sensory condition where sound, taste, and color intertwine. I see colors when I hear music, and sometimes I taste the colors I paint. I didn’t realize this was unusual until someone noticed I described paintings like fine food! Naturally, I believe art, flavor, and happiness belong together.

Background
I earned my B.A. in Theater Arts (Costuming) from the University of Oregon, with study abroad in London that included 43 live productions and private research at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Over the years, I’ve worn many creative hats — designer, entrepreneur, storyteller — but the thread connecting them all is my fascination with color, narrative, and wearable art.

I’m also the designer and CEO of Nettles Jewelry, a line carried by galleries and museums across the U.S. and Canada. My Peaceable Kingdom painted jewelry line bridges my two passions: storytelling and vibrant, symbolic imagery.

Exhibitions
My paintings have been featured in the Eugene, Springfield, and Whitaker ArtWalks, as well as solo shows at Townsend Tea, Allan Brothers Coffee, Morning Glory Café, Café Soriah, Flux Crystal Gallery, and Art with Alejandro Gallery. I regularly accept commissions between larger projects.

Life
When I’m not painting or designing, I’m home in Eugene, Oregon with my two sons, a large and opinionated rabbit, singing frogs, two shy snakes and a very small dog. I love hiking, kayaking, and knitting to unwind — and I’m always dreaming of my next trip back to Ireland.

Art Goals
To spend more time in conversation about art — sharing stories, listening to others, and deepening the connection between creative spirit and community.
